Ambition:

The goal of this site is to better understand market and business cycles by applying a long-term historical lens to help separate the signal from the noise.

Rationale:

“What I learned early in my life was that the things that surprised me were the things that hadn’t happened in my lifetime before but [had] happened many times before in history. So to understand how things really worked, I needed to understand how they all worked.” - Ray Dalio

Inspiration:

The name Tajdo takes inspiration from observing a wave. In nature, waves transfer energy over large areas and create a beautiful, metronomic pattern. I am reminded to find those long-term structural trends and try to move in the same direction - but also to identify the cyclicality around the troughs and the peaks. In physics, waves transfer signals of information, which underscores how I aim to keep my investment process driven by the data.
